Vegas Here Come

Hi everyone,
It's been forever since I last posted on our blog. All this stuff is from 2008. But at least it's sorta new to you all. Tim and I had a spure of the moment trip. The Backstreet Boys were in Vegas and they never come to Oklahoma to perform. So I always have to travel to see them. I saw them once in 2001 in Dallas. I'm apart of the BSB danclub and they have advace tickets before selling to the public and then if your a member you had the access to meet the guys with the VIP package which you have to pay for but so worth every penny. So I got the VIP tickets and told Tim do you wantto go to Vegas he said yes. I was so pumped. We had a wonderful time. I was really shocked when we got their you walk in the airport and there are slot machine's. I'm not into gambling at all but it was neat to see some places. The strip was cool to look at at night. A funny story was we got our bag and when we got to the hotel it was NOT our bag so we spent 4 hours tracking our bag and had to go back in cab to the airport contacting the person who had our bag and switch them off. Totally funny. Now we will always check our bag each time. It looked exactly the same. Then when we went to the strip I wanted to were a cute dress but it was so cold I was compaling how cold I was this was in September. We went to this nice restraunt and I got lobster you can see it in the pic. It was so fresh. The only thing I hated was all those cards advertising such and such it was gross so I ignored it. We saw some cool sites like Casear's palace and I went to a mall that had a store called STASH. It was Justin TImerbake's store where he designed jeans that had his name on them. I had to get some pricey and it had his logo on them and he deisgned them. RThen I had a proffional trailer from hollywood taylor them. It was so much fun. We also ate at Plaent Hollywood once of our favorite places where their is movie stuff. I saw Joe Pesies hands from Home Alone the robber. hehe. I'm a fan of Macaulay Culkin still I admit it and saw Vada's bag from My Girl 2. I ws like Tim it's the bag she wore in the movie. So I had to get a pic of it all. We also saw Titanic stuff from Leonardo's movie and others but I didn't care. I'm explaing all the trip all in different day. As you all know I journal so I have like 20 pages of this trip but I can't write it all here. I was worried all day because I kept hearging word that Nick Carter was so sick with 103 fever and they canclled their show the night before out show but the show still went on. Then it was time to see BSB. I was hanging out with fans all day long waiting to get in with my VIP pass. I was really suprise if you don't know a VIP is where you can meet your favorites music movie artists. Everyone walked in slowly to the guys sitting on stools. Everyone had their camera ready but I had my video camera big mistake. I called even adhead of time and they said it was fine. The guys answered fan questions. Brian in the pink shirt is my all time fave and Nick is my second he was so sick you can see it in his face and pale. I was so sad for him. They could only answer 5 questions one for each guy. I raised my hand so high because i was in the front row and Brian already hhad a question and I ws onto Howie they picked me and I said please can I just ask Brian a question they said no since thier on a tim thing and I wanted to ask him his favorite Bible verse. So they choose someone else know I wish I aksed Howie a question and it would of been why don't you all come to Oklahoma for a show. Oh well. They they sang 3 songs and I was video taping like they said I could but the secitiy guy came up to me and said no more taping. I was so mad but did not show it. I saw everyone else still taping so I did it again and they came back to me and said if yu tae again your out of here. KNow after this whole experience I see girls taping the show with their ditgial camera that has videos so that is hw they do it. So I out down the video camera and just take pictures instead. Luckliy they did not take my 3 minute footage of the guys song and one question. Then we all stood in line and got a pic with the boys. TO ME ADMAZMENT THEIR WS NO SCREAMING PUSHING AT ALL VERY QUITE I GUESS US FANS HAVE GORWN UP SINCE 1997. see my desripcion of meeting them in the pictures sorry their a little messed up in how I did it I'm new to that part. Liz plese help me with that. The concert was on and I had front row on the side perfect view. Donnie was first and the MTV producer who was taping the show came up to me and aksed if I wanted to meet him and said am I a fan of Donnie I said not yet but maybe. So I got to go backstage after his sining and meet him. The video camera were on it's like a reality tv show. It was weird. I talked to him for 5 minutes. I asked some good question not even know who this guy was. I asked if his cd was out and that was stupid of me since he sang from his cd. Then it aired on MTV a month ago I was on tv I was so excited to see. I didn't even know I would be on since like 6 people got to meet him and he went to different cites each night and they just chose Vegas to show fans so it was me and someone else. I have it taped it you wantto see. I got to hug him and he signed his cd with my name on it nice to meet you chrisin. It was so sweet. I'm a fan now. Then BSb came on everyone scream I lost my voice I was singing and screaming like everyone else. Oh I fotgot to saw at the VIp we all got BSB autographed photos and we could also bring one thing for them to sign and I bought a picture backing frame it's huge and they all signed it and nw I just need to get the pic which you see on top to put it in. Proffional shot. A memory for a life time. So my dream came true I met Donnie who I never knew and BSB. Their new cd comes out this summer so I'm pumped and hopefuly now saing money for the next VIp and our in Dalls not Vegas and drive. Tim was a good sport. He loved seeing the sites but could care less seeing 4 guys dance and sing to girls. I told him I would go to the next FOOTBALL GAME SORRY ROBERT YOU HAVE TO PASS ONE TICKET TO ME because he went with me. Then we gort back to OKC at 10 pm with our regular bags.

I finally meet the boys from left to right. Aj shook my hand and said hi darling, Nick gave me a hug even when he was sick, Howie said hi, and Brian I gave him the Bible promise book since he is a Christian artist as well and I finally got to ask him a question since they rush you our so fast. I said Brian what is your favorite Bible verse he said Phil 4:13 I can do all things in Christ who trust in me. Then after they took my pic I said Brian what verse was it again and he smiled and said it again before going to the next fan. I wrote a letter to him too hoping he would write back but has not it was ok it ws a dream I'll never forget. Even though I listen to all Christian music now these guys stil has a soft spot in my heart. They have changed so much from the sold out big areans to smaller 5,000 shows so fans like me can have better seating. Thanks guys for the memories. Love ya can't wait for your next Cd this summer. I'll be back for another VIP I'm saving money now heheh.

Bible Stories at Church in October

Wow is all I can saw. Our family does not celebrate Halloween. So when that time comes around we usualy would stay home or take the kids to chucky cheese. This year we are apart of a new church Crossings. We love it so much. They had a October Fest like a carinval. I was thinking it would be like ok kids will play games eat and get candy. Boy was I wrong. We walked in and their was Bible scripture and people singing praises to God the whole night. The games were all Bible based. Like Danial in the Lions Den Joanah and the Whale and I think they would have differernt games. Anna loves the Cake walk. I can't remember the title though. She never won a cake but had fun with her friends Riley Carely and Shawn. It was a eveving full of praise and worship to God. Carley and Anna even danced and sang some of the songs.

Marking the Soil

There are going to be some new changes in the Lathrop household. You ask what nope not another baby. We are plannning on moving to a new neighborhood right where we used to live in Edmond. We just got our new piece of land 2 days ago. The girls are so exicted I told Anna do you want to go see the new land and she wanted to run on it. Caroline cried because she fell in the dirt and got her hands dirty. It's kind of on a hill so hopefully we can get it leveled out. We are in the process of making changes to a house plan that we like and then building the house in the couple of months and hopefully move in next Spring or Summer. As of now we are packing up boxes of stuff and then moving to Aunt Elizabeths house to stay with her and Kayeln while our house is on the market. We just pray it will sale to the perfect family and give them a wonderful home. We will keep you all updated on the process.

Easter Day

On Sunday we went to Crossing church. It was so full we sat in another section. It was such a lovely service. Anna got to sit with us and she sat so nicely. Then she had her own church time. We then went over to my parents house and has a nice lunch and played a game of apples to apples. It was so nice to play a game with the family it's so hard nice with 3 little girls. Did I say 3 girls. Now I know what your thinking we don't have 3 kids yet it's little Kaelyn. Got ya. One day there will be three hehe. Anyway. Then on Saturday night we had dinner with kitty grammy and had a fun Eater egg hunt. Caroline did not get it she didn't really know how to look for the eggs. We had to help her alot. Anna had a blast she kept asking for more eggs. They each got a huge bunny that has arms so big you can wrap them around you. Caroline loved it and was smiling so big. We love you all dearly. Jesus is the reason for Easter though.
